15 Game Reviews

Your implementation is horrible.

I mean, it's really, really bad. No sound, none of the standard controls, your "players" look just like your "balls" and it really needs some kind of visual connection between a player and its ball, like making the player solid yellow and the ball striped yellow, and there are SO many cases and possibilities you haven't explored --what if somebody's on the wrong ball? How about putting more than one pair of balls up?

But I've never seen anybody put this concept up on NG before. It's a neat concept, too. So, DO something with it. Add on the usual frills and appearance things, a little music, maybe add a computer player to compete against (or one to work WITH, and you have to nudge the dumb #(*#$&% now and then :) ), and come back with it.

youlosepoints responds:

Thanks man, the game was kind of rushed as I coded the whole thing in about two days but I think I'll look into those improvements.

What? No CHEESE?

I WAS EXPECTING CHEESE

MORE CHEESE NEXT TIME

MMMMM, STILTON...

Spend more than two hours next time.

Seriously, why is it worth bothering to upload this? Make a real game, put some real work into it, don't take up space in the "Recently Uploaded" list with random crap.

Thx for the review anyways i hope other people like my submission :S... btw YOUR FLASH SUBMISIONS ARE SUPER!! lol

Nice!

I like it!

Two minor things:

1) Yeah, fairly easy. I lived to level 15, and I suck at asteroids-ish games.
2) The bar in the health meter is dark blue on a black background. I had to squint at it special, just to make sure there was something there at all. BRIGHTER COLOR PLZ

Impressive.

This is very well-done. Are you generating the nubs on the pieces dynamically?

One minor problem: The timer keeps running after I've solved the puzzle. I'd rather it stopped, so I can see how long I took.

uzuriel responds:

Thanks for finding a bug :D did fix it as for nubs not quite sure what it means but if it's about images on pieces than yes they are made dynamical if its about pieces shapes then no

woooo! woooooooo!

Seventeen STOLE THE MOUSE from me and played this about a dozen times before I could steal it back and write this review. This says something, I think. None of us got past the Tetris pieces-- love that they move like Tetris pieces.

Minor itsy-bitsy tweaks:

1) Add a mute button. The music and sounds aren't bad, but as Twenty-One says, everything ought to have a mute button.

2) Fade the white circle in the middle of the background to a light gray, it's bothering the eyestrain I got from looking at that damned orc-findy game.

3) Seventeen says that the fire trails on the rockets shouldn't kill you because "they don't LOOK like they should." Dunno about that one, but you *might* play with making the rockets a hair smaller.

Concept of the week: twitch trading.
